~Our Speaker~

Becky Harshberger


Ms. Harshberger is VP, Finance and Tax, GEP Administrative Services, Inc. (AKA Entertainment Partners) in Burbank, California. She is responsible for employment tax and sales tax information reporting and processing. She works directly with state, federal and foreign revenue agencies, state unemployment insurance agencies and motion picture studio tax departments to ensure payroll and information reporting compliance.  She also oversees all payroll tax systems upgrades and changes in addition to implementing legislative changes.  She is a member of (American Payroll Association) APA, she is part of the National Speakers Bureau and Chairs the APA Government Affairs subcommittee focused on IRS issues. In May of 2014, she was award the APA Meritorious Service Award for her contributions to the advancement of the Payroll Profession. A Certified Payroll Professional since 1999, she has taught the Greater Los Angeles Chapter CPP prep course every summer since 2000. In October 2014 she completed serving her 4th year as Chair, Employees Benefits and Payroll Subgroup, for the IRS Information Reporting Program Advisory Committee (IRPAC).

The LAAPA is a non-profit organization consisting of dedicated payroll professionals, human resource and financial professionals throughout the Los Angeles area. Our membership represents hundreds of businesses in the Greater Los Angeles area, from the largest industrial firms to small emerging businesses.
